Scoring more than a few points with guests over the busy charter months, the team has also been making milestone achievements in the Maltese and international boating scenarios.

Launching Luxury Corporate Yacht Charters in Malta

Early on in the year, we decided to take luxury and privacy to a whole new level, launching a business events service on board our Sunseekers. Our private corporate charters cater for staff receptions, company product launches and award ceremonies, business meetings, brunches and lunches, client entertainment and a host of team building events in pure Mediterranean splendour.

A Nautical Licence for AV Charter Specialist

Completing her course in Maritime Training, Azure Ultra’s Charter Specialist Rosie Abela is now a proud holder of a Nautical Licence – which means she’s fully qualified to operate a boat of up to 10 metres with a maximum of 12 persons aboard. She also has plenty of knowledge on boating theory, local and international waters, boat handling and first aid to be able to practically answer any guest queries prior to charter.

Teaming Up with Cannonball Run Europe

Thanks to our partnership with supercar sister brand AutoXotica UK, three lucky car connoisseurs from Malta enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the legendary Cannonball Run Europe 2017. Winding their way through the roads of Continental Europe, participants set out on an exciting week-long mystery journey featuring fast cars, five-star hotels and fine dining among like-minded adventurers.

New Skipper and Steward Join the AV Team

With tons of professional experience between them, skipper Gary and steward Gino joined Azure Ultra at the height of the 2017 summer charter season. Before settling in Malta, Gary (right) set up and ran his own charter company in Ibiza for five summer seasons, while Maltese-born Gino (left) built a solid 7-year background in the hospitality industry.

Azure Ultra Awarded TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence

We were delighted to receive a Certificate of Excellence for 2017 by the authoritative travel review website TripAdvisor – an award that recognises outstanding service and consistently excellent ratings over a twelve-month period. All 47 TripAdvisor reviews received to date rate Azure Ultra’s service as excellent, scoring us five-star ratings across the board.

Azure Ultra Members Experience VIP Sunseeker Tour

Thanks to an excellent relationship enjoyed with iconic British motor yacht manufacturer Sunseeker, our team accompanied Azure Ultra members Mr and Mrs Jordan, Mr and Mrs Leighfield, and Mr and Mrs Bentall on an exclusive VIP tour of the company’s premises in Dorset. Members from the Sunseeker Sales Office guided our guests through a private viewing of the company’s specialist Marine Technology Centre and the Sunseeker shipyard in Poole.

New Motor Yacht Added to the Fleet

Our latest addition to the Azure Ultra yacht collection, the spacious Sunseeker Camargue 50 motor yacht Senda Dos was officially acquired in May. She was later brought over to Malta by fleet Captain Roger and deckhand/steward Luc during peak charter season on a six-day journey from Mallorca.

Azure Ultra Hailed ‘Unique Tour Company’

We powered into the last quarter of 2017 with the celebrated Unique Tour Company of the Year Award for Malta, received from the London-based Travel & Hospitality Awards (THA). Nominations were made on our behalf by luxury travel experts including bloggers and writers, with a panel of seasoned industry judges declaring Azure Ultra as the deserving winners.

Double Win at International Yacht Awards

We closed our 2017 successes with yet another two coveted awards scooped at the Malta International Boats & Yachting Awards. Contending with 17 nominees across 25 industry categories, Azure Ultra won Best Customer Service of the Year and Best Maltese Based Charter Company of the Year in recognition of consistent service excellence across all our charters.
